As an intern at Sunnyside Farms, I’ve seen just how powerful this place is. It’s more than a farm. It’s a place of transformation. Whether it's children at summer camp, residents from local nursing homes, or interns like me, lives are changed here every day through meaningful connections with the Norwegian Fjord Horses. I’ve gained hands-on experience, life lessons, and mentorship but behind every moment of growth is the reality of daily horse care: feed, farrier services, vet visits, shelter, and round-the-clock attention. Your support helps keep the horses healthy and the internship program thriving. The mission at Sunnyside is to provide life-changing behavioral health through farm-based wellness opportunities and innovative forms of experiential therapy. We open our farm gates to allow for individual growth, empowerment and personal satisfaction in ways far from traditional counseling.
