Like many people in Livingston, my child has found a second home at the Shane Center. Over the last six years I have watched her build friendships, gain confidence, be accepted for exactly who she is, learn about being a part of a whole, help kids younger than herself, and feel celebrated. I can't imagine not having the Shane Center in our lives.
As Development Director I get to daily witness other community members have the same experiences, no matter their age. This is a place of connection. A place in our town where it doesn't matter who you are and where you come from, you are welcome. A place where you can loose yourself on the dance floor, celebrate at a baby shower, be wowed by musical theatre, and screen an incredible documentary all in the same week.
