Park 337's Mission Statement:
To provide a safe place for our community of all ages to entertain, educate, participate and compete in a motor sports environment
We knew we wanted to build a great motor vehicle park, but we wanted it to be more than that. We wanted it to be something that actually added to the fabric of Livingston.
In just a short time, we’ve seen the park become a bridge between generations. We’ve watched our seniors—some with limited mobility—come out to mentor our youth. We’ve worked hard to make sure that when we say 'everyone is welcome,' we mean it, ensuring our facility actually fits the needs of neighbors with disabilities so they can be part of the fun, too.
We’ve spent a lot of time listening to our kids—talking to homeschool groups, joining in on Career Days at the schools and starting to work with Community School Collaborative. We’re giving students a place to earn their service hours while learning real-world skills with safety. Most importantly, we’re giving them a healthy alternative to drugs and alcohol—a place to find a hobby and a community instead of a vice.
But some of the work we do happens in the quieter moments. Whether it’s collaborating with Stay; Landon’s Legacy for suicide prevention, or giving our Veterans a place to pull themselves out of isolation and find a new mission, we want Park 337 to be a sanctuary. For anyone struggling with anxiety, PTSD, or depression, we want this to be a place where you can just... breathe.
Supporting the American Legion through Give-A-Hoot, helping Meals on Wheels move to a new location, and seeing this community show up for each other is why we do this and why Park 337 is "More Than Racing".
"Being a veteran taught me a lot about service, sacrifice, hard work, and showing up even on the days you feel like you have nothing left to give. You take the uniform off, but the things it teaches you stay with you. They become part of who you are.
Like a lot of veterans, I’ve had to deal with things that people don’t always see, including PTSD. Some days are harder than others, and some battles are fought quietly. People don’t always see the stress, the exhaustion, or the things you carry with you every day while still trying to keep moving forward and show up.
I’ve also dealt with a learning disability my whole life. There were times growing up where I felt like I had to work twice as hard just to keep up. It wasn’t always easy, and there were moments where I doubted myself, but it taught me something important — to keep pushing no matter what is standing in front of me.
Being part of Park 337 gave me another way to continue serving people, just in a different role. After military service, finding purpose matters. Finding somewhere you feel like you still make a difference matters. For me, this has given me that opportunity.
Every event and every work day at Park 337 gives me another chance to be part of something bigger than myself. Whether it’s helping people, solving problems, supporting the community, or just showing up and doing the job the best I can, it reminds me that service didn’t stop when my military time ended — it just changed.
I’m proud to be a veteran, and I’m proud to be part of Park 337. Life has thrown challenges at me, and I’ve carried things that weren’t easy, but I’ve learned that your struggles don’t define you. What defines you is getting back up, continuing to move forward, and continuing to show up."
"These events give me a safe place to work through my social anxiety and also helps me with my depression" Megan
"The park would show the younger audience they don't have to play sports to be cool"
" If the park gets put in then the school could perhaps get a mechanics class again" Draken
"I am supporting of a motor vehicle park" Mike
"I really like your idea, I support your idea 100%," Bryan
"I'm totally supportive of this" Clint
"We need something to do up here, people getting into drugs and into trouble" Austin
"Kids matter and they do need constructive things to do and an opportunity to learn and be outdoors with thier friends" Mary
"When we started mud racing I was 16 and hanging out with the wrong people. Livingston didn't have anything like Park 337 at that time, so we traveled to Billings and all over Montana. We still travel to other events around Montana, but with having a local park, I hope to see the youth in our community from making wrong decisions and from starting bad habits.
I am also thankful for being able to grow up with the basic knowlegde around vehicles, learn sportsmanship, be social without phones, getting to enjoy the outdoors, and a way to let go of stress and anxiety. Who knows where I would be today without the mud racing as a kid, and being able to helpout now at Park 337." Sam
