Native Americans Against Drugs & Alcohol (NAADA)

Educating, advocating and supporting healthy habits.

Native Americans Against Drugs and Alcohol Corp. (NAADA) has been a dream of mine for over 20 years. Now that my children are grown, I want to encourage and help other children reach their dreams. It takes a Village to raise a child.  I am so grateful for our wonderful community and the amazing non-profits that we have.  Thanks for supporting our community.  

NAADA sponsored Issac Fisher and the Flight Squad to perform at Park High and SGMS. It was incredible seeing him interact with the kids.  He is a great motivational speaker.  Issac and the Fight Squad performed for the kids. They all signed autographs and Issac gave away the shoes he wore for the performance as well as his beaded logo necklace.  The kids really felt a connection and enjoyed the performance.  

NAADA is rebuilding and rebranding. NAADA is educating youth about the dangers of drugs and alcohol, gangs, domestic abuse and suicide awareness. Drugs and alcohol are destroying families. New drugs are coming in as well as new gangs. It is important to protect our youth.  So many children and young adults are being taken it is frightening. It's important to educate our youth about traffickers and child predators. Many children are being raised by their Grandparents as their parents are lost in addiction or in a few cases the parent has disappeared and never found. It is heartbreaking that these children have experienced so much heartache so early! NAADA wants them to succeed and flourish!!! NAADA wants to support and encourage them and show them that dreams can come true and that they need to go after their dreams, that they have a chance for a different life!  NAADA has collaborated with The Warrior Movement as well as Sacred Walk Initiative to help enhance children's lives. NAADA is also looking to collaborate with the new Suicide Awareness Group that has started.  Suicide Awareness is such an important topic, even though it's a hard topic to discuss.  It needs to be discussed and our youth need to have a safe space to vent and too be heard. It's hard to just listen, but so important.  

Children are our Future, lets work together to do everything we can to help them succeed and thrive. NAADA is doing 2 Fundraisers to help kids in school.  The first one is raising money for a shooting machine for the SGMS.  The second one is raising money for students who need help paying for their school lunches and breakfast.  No child should go without a good breakfast and lunch.  

NAADA wants to help young athletes navigate college and what is required to go to a D1 school.  Helping them set goals and registering with the NCAA, so that they see the requirements it takes to play at a high level college. Kids need to learn the importance of getting good grades and the impact that has on getting into a college and also getting scholarships.  Sports and clubs in schools teach children valuable lessons and character building. When you are part of something, you have to be accountable, you learn how to work together, how to resolve conflicts, you have to have good grades to play and that if you do something and can't play it affects the whole team or group.  Being involved in activities teaches responsibility, pride and teamwork.
