Gardiner Mammoth FM Association

A nonprofit organization

Since 1980, the Gardiner Mammoth FM Association's mission has been to "provide music in the mountains" surrounding the communities of Gardiner, Montana and Mammoth Hot Springs, Wyoming. The organization is run by a volunteer board of local Gardiner and Mammoth community residents. We are responsible for the maintenance of equipment located at Elk Plaza and on top of Bunsen Peak, both located near Mammoth Hot Springs, Wyoming, in Yellowstone National Park.

The Gardiner Mammoth FM Association's mission provides simple quality-of-life community support to our residents and hundreds of thousands of visitors to the north Yellowstone region annually through the maintenance of equipment that allows for the transmission and rebroadcast of four local radio stations. Radio is a lifeline to the world's news, current events, arts, music, and culture. Without our organization, residents and visitors would have to rely on paid streaming music services in an area with spotty cell coverage. The majority of our users listen in their vehicles, at their homes, and in their offices.

We strive to maintain an eclectic mix of stations including:
106.3 KXLB Bozeman Country Radio (currently off air)
103.9 and 104.9 KEMC Billings Yellowstone Public Radio
105.5 KMTN Jackson Rock and Adult Alternative (currently off air)
107.1 KGLT Bozeman Alternative Public Radio

The current equipment at both locations is reaching the end of its functional life. We are raising funds to begin pursuing new equipment with far fewer maintenance requirements and a broader range of radio stations.
