Children and families across Park County face real and growing food insecurity. For many students, school meals are the most reliable source of daily nutrition.

Farm to School of Park County works at the intersection of education, agriculture and food access to change that reality. We connect classrooms to Montana-grown food, cultivate school gardens, and bring hands-on food and nutrition education into schools so students understand where their food comes from - and why it matters.

We’ve set an ambitious goal of raising $195,000 during Give A Hoot this year to sustain and expand programs that nourish kids, support families, strengthen local agriculture, and build a healthier future for our community.

When you give to Farm to School, you are ensuring:

  • kids have access to nourishing food at school and beyond
  • students learn where their food comes from through real, hands-on experiences
  • teens have meaningful summer jobs
  • Montana farms and ranches are connected to schools
  • families have more reliable access to healthy food
  • Park County builds a stronger, more resilient food system for the future
