Elk River Arts & Lectures

About this Organization

Since our founding in 2013, Elk River Arts & Lectures (ERAL), a 501(c)(3) organization, has brought people together from all walks of life to cultivate and celebrate the literary arts in Park County. Our flagship arts and lecture series features a diverse array of world-class authors such as Richard Powers, Sarah Vowell, Mona Sue Power, Debra Magpie Earling, Pete From, Pam Houston, Stephanie Land, and Chris La Tray who provide engaging lectures, thoughtful discussion, and inspiring stories, sharing their perspectives in free public lectures.

Many of these authors and speakers join with students in local classrooms here in Park County to share their work with a younger audience. ERAL collaborates with other local nonprofits, enriching our community through diverse literary programming and engaging the many writers and creative individuals who give our community its unique character. Additionally, we offer Storytelling Nights, Senior Writing Workshops, Teen Writing Workshops and a myriad of other activities in collaboration with Park County schools and nonprofits.
