Yellowstone Gateway Museum Foundation (formerly Friends of the Yellowstone Gateway Museum)

We provide support to the Yellowstone Gateway Museum of Park County as ambassadors, fundraisers, and volunteers to assist in their efforts to preserve and interpret the cultural and natural history of Park County, Montana and its relationship to Yellowstone National Park.

The Yellowstone Gateway Museum of Park County (YGM) is an important institution that has been sharing the history of Park County since 1976. It has become a key spot for showing the region's unique past. The museum works hard to make history interesting and relevant through its exhibits, programs, and educational activities. It has permanent exhibit rooms about Native Cultures, Yellowstone Connections, Pioneer life, and Transportation, allowing visitors to explore different parts of the region's history. These exhibits are enhanced by temporary displays that show the museum's growing collection and various local history topics. The museum also offers family-friendly interactive features and receives positive feedback from visitors. The YGM is also growing its online presence by adding past and new exhibits to its website, sharing posts on social media, and sending out an e-newsletter to keep supporters informed and engaged.
