Western Sustainability Exchange
About this Organization
Do you GIVE A HOOT about keeping Montana the last best place?
For over 30 years, the mission of the Western Sustainability Exchange (WSE) has been to preserve the legacy of open spaces, fish and wildlife habitats, and the farming and ranching heritage across the West. We achieve this by providing sustainable solutions that promote environmental stewardship and rural economic prosperity, specifically by advocating for, supporting, and incentivizing regenerative ranching practices.
Montana is home to one of the last intact temperate-zone ecosystems in the world, with Park County at its core. This region remains largely intact thanks to the careful stewardship of local farm and ranch families. WSE believes that the most effective way to protect Montana's open spaces, environmental integrity, and cultural character is to collaborate with our agricultural neighbors to enhance land stewardship. Through this collaboration, WSE strengthens the connections between land management, the quality of our natural resources, and the availability of healthy local food.
