Holiday Lights of Livingston Inc

A nonprofit organization

Holiday Lights of Livingston installs annual holiday decorations in our small, rural town. The expansive displays, put up every November, are an effort to benefit downtown merchants by drawing in people from neighboring areas during the holiday season and for the enjoyment of the public at large. We partner with both non-profits and businesses (and many volunteers) to maintain and install the tree displays at Depot-Rotary park and decorate lampposts in the downtown area.

In 2016, led by our board president Ed O'Donnell, we embarked on an ambitious new project to light up Depot-Rotary park along the main route through town. In the 6 holiday seasons since, we have lighted more trees along Park St (from the Depot Museum to the 5th St intersection), added a Hanukkah Menorah, a holiday decorated miniature train and a large colored Christmas tree. Since 2021, we've held our popular kick-off event, Light Up Livingston, a family friendly evening offering plenty of photo opportunities with Frosty the Snowman, Elsa from Frozen, and Santa Claus. We have partnered with organizations such as Links for Learning, Livingston Rotary, Livingston BID and TBID, PHS Choir and Livingston Parks and Recreation department to offer fun activities for kids of all ages. We love seeing families using the lighted park as a magical backdrop to their family photos and visitors' posts on social media. Our projects are fully funded by donations from businesses and generous community members. Thank you for your continued support of the Holiday Lights!!
